Donation to Research

Living Donor Program

in

People in every part of the world are waiting for someone to donate so their lives can improve through bone marrow, blood stem cells or umbilical cord blood transplants. Locally, Midwest Transplant Network facilitates living donation of kidneys through an anonymous program. You may be a living donor by donating your kidney to someone on a waiting list in the MTN service area.

Decision to Donate

in

Why Donate?

There is a severe organ shortage in this country. Despite continuing efforts at public education, misconceptions and inaccuracies about donation persist. It’s a tragedy if even one person decides against donation because they don’t know the truth.

Almost 100,000 people are waiting for an organ transplant in the United States. Your decision to donate your organs can save the lives of up to eight people, and directly improve the lives of up to 50 people through tissue donation.
