National Donor Sabbath
National Donor Sabbath is observed two weekends before Thanksgiving as members of faith communities focus on the life-affirming gifts of hope passed to others by organ, eye, tissue, marrow and blood donors. Many faith leaders participate in services and programs to educate their congregations about donation and transplantation and the critical need for donors. The service will be held at Leawood United Methodist Church at 2915 W 95th Street, Leawood, KS. A candlelight memorial and quilt pinning ceremony will honor those who have given "Gifts of Life" through organ, tissue and eye donation. Spring Into Fashion Show & Silent Auction
Join the American Liver Foundation as they kick off Organ Donation Awareness Month by putting on a fashion show for the public featuring men, women and children models affected by liver disease and community leaders. There will be food, entertainment and a silent auction. Come and join the fun! (Date TBA)

Net proceeds from the concert will be donated to Saint Luke's Health Foundation - MerleJam Transplant Fund helping with heart transplant social services. Artists performing from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. include the following: Four Fried Chickens & a Coke, Danny Cox, Nick Moss & the Fliptops, Joe Moss Band and Howard & the White Boys. Hospital Hill Run
The American Liver Foundation is a charity partner of this 5k, 10k and 1/2 marathon race and they need runners to participate by signing up to run for the ALF's Run for Research Team and help raise funds for the ALF's research, education and advocacy programs. (More information to follow.)

This is a new event for the American Liver Foundation in Kansas City. The evening will feature 10 of Kansas City's best chefs, each preparing a special menu of truly fabulous cuisine including wine parings.
