Autumn Dodds
Quinton and Daria Dodds experienced what no parents should have to endure: the tragic loss of their daughter, Autumn, at just two months old. As heart-breaking as it was, they didn’t even have to think twice about organ donation. Their generosity provided life for so many other families. “It was a bittersweet time,” says Daria, “but we knew it was the right thing to do - to help others so they wouldn’t have to suffer a loss.” Soon after Autumn’s death, they made the decision to adopt their son. Surprisingly, when he was just six months old, they learned they were pregnant with another little girl. They are just fifteen months apart and keep their parents quite busy! The Dodds’ organ donation story came full circle recently when Quinton underwent a cornea transplant on his right eye. After struggling with vision problems for years, his vision has significantly improved. Midwest Transplant Network holds a special place in their hearts.
