Working with the Media

The need for increased education on organ and tissue donation and donor designation is critical to saving lives. Thousands of lives are saved every year, but thousands more continue to wait. On average, 18 lives are lost every day due to the lack of organs available for transplant.

Midwest Transplant Network aims to partner with the media to help educate the community on the value of organ donation, as well as to dispel myths about organ donation. Please view our Statistics page for accurate facts.

Media professionals can help increase education on donation by sharing stories involving local resources, including donor families, recipients and professionals within the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
