Each year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awards Medals of Honor to hospitals in honor of their outstanding work in organ donation.

Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) congratulates these area hospital partners for their excellent work in organ donation that is much-deserving of celebration. MTN is grateful for these and all hospitals' collaboration toward its mission: "Together, we save lives through organ and tissue donation."

Celebrating National Minority Donor Awareness Day, which is August 1, Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) is focused on educating minorities about the critical need for donation and transplantation within the multicultural community. MTN will also inform minorities about how they can make the life-affirming decision to be organ and tissue donors.

MTN and volunteers will be stationed at donor registry sign-up and educational booths in Kansas City Public Library branches per the following schedule.
