Celebrating National Minority Donor Awareness Day, which is August 1, Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) is focused on educating minorities about the critical need for donation and transplantation within the multicultural community. MTN will also inform minorities about how they can make the life-affirming decision to be organ and tissue donors.
MTN and volunteers will be stationed at donor registry sign-up and educational booths in Kansas City Public Library branches per the following schedule.
- Monday, July 26 - Central branch, Noon to 6 p.m.
- Thursday, July 29 - Bluford branch, 10 a.m. to Noon
- Thursday, July 29 - Westport branch, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday, July 30 - Plaza branch, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
