Saving and Improving Lives

Saving and Improving Lives

Despite recent advancements in medical technology, the demand for organ, eye and tissue donation still vastly exceeds the number of registered donors. More than 100,000 people currently await lifesaving organ transplants. Tens of thousands more need life-enhancing tissue or cornea transplants each year.

As a registered organ, eye and tissue donor, you have the power to save or improve the lives of more than 100 people.

  • Anyone can register to be an organ, eye and tissue donor, regardless of age, race or medical history.
  • Most major religions around the world support organ, eye and tissue donation and view it as a final act of love and generosity.
  • An individual’s donor status does not affect medical care. Every effort will be made by medical professionals to save lives before donation is considered and a separate team is notified.
