Q: When and where is this event?
A: This event will be held virtually on our social media platforms from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on June 6, 2020.
Q: What time does the walk start?
A: Since the walk will take place virtually in 2020, there is no official start time. You are welcome to walk for any distance and at any time in honor of the gift of life. In light of COVID-19, please be sure to follow any relevant social distancing guidelines that are in place in your community.
Q: Do I need to register?
A: Yes, please visit mwtn.org/legacy-walk to register so you can stay up-to-date on resources available and other announcements.
Q: Can I still order a Donate Life Legacy Walk T-shirt or onesie?
A: We are unfortunately not able to take additional shirt orders for this year. Our vendor has committed to completing those that were placed prior to April 3. Be on the lookout for our virtual toolkit, coming soon. Our toolkit will have several fun ways to showcase your Legacy Walk spirit.
Q: When will I receive my T-shirt if I placed my order before April 3?
A: All orders placed before April 3 will still be fulfilled and should arrive in time for the Legacy Walk on June 6. Should there be any changes to delivery time due to impacts from COVID-19, we will notify you directly.
Q: What if there is an error with my T-shirt order?
A: Midwest Transplant Network will not be responsible for errors made during the T-shirt ordering or customization process.
Q: What if there is bad weather?
A: We encourage registrants to walk or recognize the Legacy Walk at any time leading up to, during or after June 6. Please be safe and check weather conditions in your area before walking outdoors.
Q: Is this a free event?
A: Yes, this is a free event. We encourage anyone interested to participate by being active indoors or outdoors — walking, running, cycling, etc. — and/or sharing about the Legacy Walk on your social media pages.
Q: What kind of programming can I expect on June 6?
A: Beginning at 10 a.m., we will share stories, videos, donation facts, photos, and more from our Ambassadors, partners, community advocates and staff members through our social media platforms. We will go live with a short program on our Facebook page from the National WWI Museum and Memorial beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Q: How can I share my donation story with fellow Legacy Walk participants?
A: We encourage you to share your story by completing this form on our website. We will highlight these stories on our social media platforms leading up to, during and after the Legacy Walk.
Q: I have a question that is not on the Q&A. Who should I contact?
A: Please email your questions to email@example.com.
